white on white
I work in a famous office building. Each day, girls come through the revolving doors in throngs, dressed in the heighth of fasion. Flowing rose-petal-coloured afternoon wedding dresses accessorised with pearls stand next to sharp lime green business suits in line at the cafeteria. Everyone male is gay. It is disturbing. They even wave their hand in a detached manner, one flowing motion from wrist to fingertip. Some asshole in the legal department told me that they "don't notarise personal documents" and hung up on me when I asked for a recommendation of a notary in the neighbourhood.
The friendliest people here are of course the maintenance staff. They get assigned the most pointless tasks sometimes. I walked past a guy painting a wall white, which would have been normal, except that it was white to begin with. I said, "are you painting a white wall white?" and he answered, "yeah, it's... unusual."
I'm going to go get some white asparagus braised in lobster stock with a small side of pesto aioli for lunch now.
