the FN scale
It seems that I know too many people who are, for lack of better words, totally fucked up. In order to better classify them, I present the Fucking Nuts Scale:1 :: normal in the field of human relations
2 :: a little eccentric (like maybe you or me... right?)
3 :: sometimes you don't know where he is coming from
4 :: habitually "loses it"
5 :: has lapses of reason
6 :: has serious lapses of judgement
7 :: seems to be bipolar
8 :: doesn't make much sense to others... or himself
9 :: needs to be medicated
10 :: total fucking nutcase!!!
My friends agree -- it's never you. It's always them.

This is interesting.
Intellectually, I place myself around a -3 on your scale: hyper-rational and always totally on the game. I mean, c'mon, I'm uber smart and I used to be good at math kind of thing, you know? Some kind of soviet male perspective, as in I can always perfectly rationalize what I'm doing.
But I look at some of my actions in retrospect, and I feel I'm somewhere around:
7 :: seems to be bipolar
8 :: doesn't make much sense to others... or himself
Because while my actions are not damaging usually, I end up reversing what I'm doing, doing things that definitely do not further my higher-level goals, and generally doing things that just don't matter... Strange.
I think my dad is like a 14.
